Tom Sholes

Management

Thomas Sholes is Chief Executive Officer of Coates Analytics, an affiliate of Pershing, and a Managing Director for BNY Mellon, where he is overseeing the transition of three new diverse lines of business into the Pershing family of companies. Once the transition is complete on January 1, 2011, Mr. Sholes will oversee Pershing’s wealth reporting solutions, business intelligence services and managed account solutions.

Mr. Sholes was formerly an executive vice president and senior managing director for PNC Global Investment Servicing, prior to the company’s acquisition by BNY Mellon in July 2010. During his time with PNC, Mr. Sholes was responsible for the financial advisor services division which encompasses three lines of business: Coates Analytics, Albridge Solutions and PNC Managed Investment Services, Inc., a registered investment advisor, where he served as Chairman. He was also responsible for the organization’s strategic planning and product management activities.

Before joining PNC, Mr. Sholes spent more than 13 years at Federated Investors where his responsibilities included leading Edgewood Services, a broker-dealer subsidiary of the firm; managing product development and marketing teams serving the broker-dealer, bank and institutional markets; and serving as an investment research analyst and client service officer.

Mr. Sholes earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

 


Dennis J. Kelleher

Head of Business Solutions

Dennis brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to Coates Analytics.  Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President at IXI Corporation, where he led the development of client solutions utilizing IXI's unique and innovative databases, created a comprehensive planning solution for key customers, and provided strategic and tactical guidance on all analytical projects for full-service brokerage firms. Prior to that, he held various senior strategic and product positions at Promontory Interfinancial Network, Legg Mason and Prudential Securities.   Dennis has served as adjunct faculty member at Rider University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, Mercer County College, and Howard County College.    He earned his B.S and M.B.A. from St. John’s University. He resides in Ellicott City, MD with his wife Kerry and their two children, Connor and Kiernan.


Alan Stein

Chief Operation Officer

Alan is responsible for all aspects of operations, administration, and IT development and infrastructure. Most recently, he served as the director of Business Architecture for Yellow Book USA, and prior to that he was a partner and business process and strategy consultant with CSC Consulting working with customers to develop and run systems that met the current and future needs of their businesses. Alan has expertise in operations management, managing and mentoring teams to become leaders of change within their organizations as well as the development of business strategies.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University.


Steve Truong

Director of Relationship Management

Steve’s responsibilities include all aspects of Sales and Client Service for Coates Analytics.  Steve frequently conducts sales training sessions, consults on the various components of the Coates Distribution Management System and is a primary resource for all client inquiries.

Steve has been at Coates for over 3 years.  Before joining Coates, Steve spent 7 years at SEI Investments (Oaks, PA), where he was a member of the Wealth Network Client Strategy Team. Prior to that, Steve worked in SEI’s Private Banking & Trust department as a member of the Relationship Management Team.

Steve holds a B.S. in Accountancy as well as an MBA with a concentration in International Business from Villanova University.


Bradley Moore

Vice President, Product Management and Development

Bradley’s responsibilities include all aspects of Product Development & Client service for the Coates Analytics Dashboard, Monitoring & Workflow solutions. Bradley handles the on boarding of new client relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for all existing & prospective client inquiries.  Bradley is also responsible for the product development strategy and execution of all enhancements to the Coates dashboard solutions. 

Bradley has been at Coates for over a  year.  Prior to joining Coates Analytics, Brad held various management positions within PNC Global Investment Servicing.  Before working at PNC Brad held positions in Corporate Finance for Pepco Holdings. 

Brad holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a M.S. Information Systems & Technology Management, both from the University of Delaware.


Emily Gerosolina

Vice President, Business Development

Emily is responsible for maintaining and directing all aspects of Coates Analytics broker-dealer partner relationships.

Emily joined Coates in the last year.  Before joining Coates, Emily served as National Accounts Manager at First American Funds where she was responsible for developing strategic broker-dealer partnerships.  Prior to that, Emily was accountable for enhancing Asset Manager Relationships in the Merrill Lynch Mutual Fund Product Management Group.  During her 9-year tenure at Merrill Lynch she also held various roles within their Asset Management Group.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science from St. John’s University as well as a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Montclair State University.


Scott Anderson

Director of Research

Scott is responsible for all research and custom analysis delivered to clients in the form of industry summaries, presentations, and special reports. Scott creates and develops research and analysis that delivers insights into the national broker dealer community, detailing trends within specific program platforms, investment styles and products.
 
Scott has been at Coates for 2 years.  Before joining Coates, Scott spent four years at PNC Global Investment Servicing as a member of the Marketing & Distribution Services team. Prior to that, Scott worked at Arnold Worldwide, a national advertising agency, in the Strategic Analytics group.

Scott holds a BS degree from University of Massachusetts in Economics.
